busy weekend...
The aforementioned bottle cap table runner is now listed on Etsy , along with some other new items, including a nifty little corkboard:
Bottle Cap Table Runner from RETTOCAMME Craft
In addition to sewing bottle caps and slicing wine corks, experienced some cool music this weekend...
Friday night at the Pandora's Box Social with DJ Doug Singer of the brothers'brothers (another RETTOCAMME collaborator from our days at the Jonathan Shorr Gallery!)
and Saturday night at LES Estates with DROID, another edgy musical group featuring RETTOCAMME musical director Jordan McLean. (above picture of DROID by Emma Cotter)

the sway machinery
Last night, went to a Purim carnival featuring dear friends The Sway Machinery at the Sixth Street Community Synagogue. So much fun...wacky costumes, blown speakers, Colt 45 and incredible musicians. They've got more gigs lined up in San Fran, Austin and NYC- don't miss them!

the crazy piano guy
In 2004, RETTOCAMME sublet the Wings Theatre in Greenwich Village from this crazy talented piano player, Colin Huggins, and presented our first evening length work, Treading Water. Colin also acted as our stage manager and lighting designer. Lately he has been the "crazy piano guy" in the subway and just booked a slot on America's Got Talent...check out these articles in the Daily News and the New York Times

Paul Taylor at City Center
Going to see the Paul Taylor Dance Company tonight at City Center. Haven't read the Times review, but looking forward to seeing his new work Beloved Renegade and of course to the brilliant dancing of old friend and classmate Julie Tice (who was an artistic adviser for our February Project!)

so many pictures
Five photographers participated in "The February Project".
Four were on stage in the midst of the action: Robert Fournier, John Frame, Robert Gorski and Ryan Roth.
The fifth photographer, Carla Coria, captured the audience's perspective.
All five have contributed images to the RETTOCAMME Flickr photo group which also includes some stunning moments from the RETTOCAMME at Work series and other performances.

The February Project began...
Welcome to the RETTOCAMME blog: an extension of our official website: http://www.rettocamme.com/ and a place to witness the elements directly affecting our creative process.
We recently introduced "The February Project", an infinite, process-oriented performance event. The first chapter occurred at Triskelion Arts in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and consisted of a highly structured improvisation for 4 dancers, 4 photographers and 4 musicians. During the course of the performances, hundreds of photographs were taken, many can be found in the RETTOCAMME flickr group, but we are working on a more formal presentation/installation of these images.
Lots of projects in the works for spring/summer. RETTOCAMME returns to the 60x60 festival at Galapagos in April and is planning some wild outdoor explorations in collaboration with RETTOCAMME music director Jordan McLean.
